Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities to enhance their quality of life by providing effective and compassionate behaviour support strategies. You will be working closely with individuals, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored behaviour support plans
- Provide direct, hands-on support to clients, families, and their networks
- Design and implement interventions to promote positive behaviour change
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centered care
- Provide training and supervision to junior staff and support workers
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in line with NDIS standards
- Monitor, evaluate, and adjust interventions to ensure ongoing effectiveness
- Ensure all practices align with NDIS compliance and quality standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Behavioural Science, Psychology, or similar fields
- Experience in designing and implementing behaviour support plans for individuals with disabilities
- A thorough understanding of NDIS frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly regarded
