A privately owned family business with a solid reputation in the Scrap Metal Recycling Industry. Our primary function is the collection and processing of scrap metal to supply both domestic and international industries that require end-of-life metals to produce new products.

What are we looking for ?

We are seeking reliable experienced excavator operator who is safety focused, self-motivated, flexible, able to prioritise and focused on delivering great customer service. You will possess a positive can do attitude. You must be well mannered and well presented. The successful applicant must be available to work some weekends as required. This is a position that we want YOU to take ownership of.

Qualifications and skills:

• Driver's license and other relevant tickets/certificates to operate machinery.
• Must have experience in operating Material Handler, Excavator, and Front-loader.
• Following safe operating procedures and comply with company policy
• Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities: -

• Able to operate various types of plant safely and confidently.
• Loading/unloading customer vehicles.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Assist in maintaining the safety of the facility
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
• Basic maintenance duties

Work Environment: -

• Scrap Metal Yard - which is a noisy and dusty environment
• PPE will be provided
• Outdoor site
• Working hours are between 6.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday and/or Sunday.
