Roll Formed Driveways is a local company that has been operating successfully for the past 20 years. Under new ownership since 2023, the company is growing as it transitions from residential work into commercial and government projects. All commercial and government work will be completed under the registered name - Coastal Asphalt QLD.

This is a great opportunity to join a company early in its transformation into a major asphalt contractor in South East Queensland.

We are seeking LEVEL HANDS, general asphalt labourers, skilled roller and paver operators, and HR and HC truck drivers (Road Ranger gearbox) to join our dynamic team.

There is a LEADING HAND role available for a candidate with the right experience as well as good $$$$.

OPPORTUNITY:

• You will work within a crew across a wide variety of sites and locations in and around the Sunshine Coast and regional South East Queensland
• Availability to start asap

ROLE:

Asphalt VARIOUS ROLES (38-50 Hr per week)

• Operate rollers, pavers, skid steer loaders, paver levels etc.
• Raking, sweeping, running wheelbarrow, shovelling and lining out the road
• Filling up rollers & other machinery & equipment with water or fuel
• Refilling water tanks on trucks and any other general labouring duties as required
• Keep sites well maintained free from debris and waste
• Asphalt drilling and cutting
• Help prepare and secure loads
• Working alongside the asphalt equipment; miller, paver, rollers
• Safe manual handling practises
• Follow the direction as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site and ability to work well with other crew members & crew at job sites
• Participation in toolbox talks, safety initiatives, incident reporting

Truck Driving (30-50 Hr per week)

• Drive 6 and 8 wheeler rigid body trucks with Road Ranger gearboxes
• Pickup aggregate from quarry and deliver to job sites
• Pickup asphalt from asphalt plant and deliver to job sites
• Conduct truck prestart inspections and report any defective items
• Keep truck in clean and presentable state
• Float equipment on tag trailer (HC License required).

About you

• General Construction Induction Card (mandatory or able to obtain prior to commencement)
• Flexibility to work across multiple shift times (Generally 7am to 4pm however could have early start, afternoon shift, night shift etc.)
• Safety conscious attitude with a strong work ethic
• A team-focused mindset with a great work ethic proactive with a positive can-do attitude
