The Role
This is a busy role that would suit someone with a hospitality background and a keen interest in events and marketing. Reporting directly to the Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for handling all customer enquiries and reservations for all KHG venues, assisting with functions and events and general office administration duties. This is a full-time role based at our Head Office in Cottesloe which requires flexibility to work the occasional evening, weekend or Public Holiday.
Duties include:
- Handle all incoming customer enquiries and reservations in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage reservations and bookings across multiple venues using our booking system, SevenRooms.
- Plan and co-ordinate events from initial enquiry through to delivery of the event (weddings, corporate, special occasions)
- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Assist the operations and venue team with event/wedding set ups and briefings
- General admin duties and office support such as printing menus and maintaining office supplies
- General communications with chefs and management teams
What we're looking for
- Background in hospitality, customer service or a front office role
- Proven experience in event sales and planning (experience with coordinating weddings preferred)
- Qualifications or working towards qualification in events will be highly regarded
- A customer-focused approach
- Confident and professional phone manner
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment – this is a very busy group of venues with a high volume of calls and functions during peak months
- Availability during our peak season – October to February, including Christmas Holidays and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Public Holidays as required
- Experience with SevenRooms or similar booking system beneficial
- Proficient computer skills with experience with InDesign and Adobe Suite beneficial but not essential
- Immediate start preferred
