A well-established, family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in supplying high-quality automotive and industrial tools is seeking a dynamic sales professional. Known for its customer-centric approach and commitment to genuine relationships, the hiring company is in search of a Sales Manager who will drive sales growth and eventually transition into a senior leadership role as the current owner steps back from day-to-day operations.
Role Objective
The selected candidate will be responsible for driving sales in the automotive and industrial tools sectors while developing key client relationships. Working closely with the owner, the candidate will gain comprehensive exposure to the operational and strategic facets of the business. This role is designed as a career pathway towards assuming General Manager responsibilities in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Drive growth within the automotive and industrial tools markets by expanding the client base and nurturing long-term relationships with key customers. A focus on delivering measurable revenue outcomes is essential.
Outcome-Focused Strategy:
Lead initiatives that prioritize tangible results and profitability over rigid processes, ensuring that the business continues to generate consistent “money in the bank.”
Operational & Strategic Learning:
Collaborate directly with the owner to gain insights into all aspects of the business, including operations, finance, and strategic planning, setting the foundation for future leadership.
Entrepreneurial Leadership:
Employ a proactive, hands-on approach to management while introducing innovative ideas to capitalize on new business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
Maintain and develop strong client relationships to ensure the business remains a trusted supplier in its niche.
Cultural Integration:
Thrive in a close-knit, family-oriented business environment, contributing to a culture that values genuine relationships and teamwork.
Candidate Profile
Proven Sales Experience:
Demonstrated success in sales, ideally within the automotive or industrial tools sectors, with a clear record of achieving revenue targets and growing client relationships.
Dynamic & Energetic:
An enthusiastic, positive, and analytical professional who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor.
Family Business Insight:
Prior experience in a small or family-owned business is a must, as it aligns with the company culture and operational style.
