Join Our Team – Behaviour Support Practitioner

At Nourish Services, we believe in the transformative power of compassion and personalised support. Our mission is to create a world where every individual can thrive, and we're looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner who shares our passion for making a positive impact while bringing curiosity and enthusiasm to the role.

Position Overview

Are you ready to be a catalyst for positive change? At Nourish Services, we are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality behaviour support with a strong focus on collaboration, skill development, and proactive practice. Your expertise in fostering positive behaviour change will align with our core values of empathy, respect, and empowerment.

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Behaviour Support team, focusing on supporting individuals across diverse needs. You will have the opportunity to develop individualised interventions, collaborate with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to a workplace that supports your growth and encourages innovation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualised positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies that align with evidence-based practices.
  • Manage a caseload of 25 billable hours weekly while maintaining a focus on participant outcomes and progress.
  • Collaborate with families, support teams, and external professionals to ensure best-practice support for individuals.
  • Work within NDIS Quality and Safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and skill-building initiatives to continually improve practice.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, enhancing your skills in behaviour support, communication, and report writing.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture, working closely with peers to foster a strong support network.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Behaviour Support or a similar role.
  • Relevant qualification in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Strong ability to be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Experience working within the OOHC (Out of Home Care) or disability sector is desirable.
  • Understanding of restrictive practices, ethical service delivery, and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong report writing skills with an ability to document progress and recommendations clearly.
  • Cultural competence and a commitment to person-centred, strength-based approaches.

Why Join Nourish?

✅ Immerse yourself in meaningful work where your passion meets purpose.
✅ Enjoy a wellbeing-focused model of care, including a four-day working week at full-time capacity.
✅ We prioritise you as an individual before being a professional.
✅ Ongoing professional development and skill-building opportunities.
✅ Be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values your contributions.
✅ Competitive salary and NDIS-compliant benefits package.
