CGS Equipment (“CGS”) is a leading distributor of high-quality mixing and pumping equipment for all things concrete, grout and screed. We are a fast growing, family-owned business.
A full-time Technician / Junior Technician position is available for a professionally-minded individual who takes pride in their wok. The position is located in our workshop (Blacktown NSW) and provides the right candidate an exciting opportunity to expand their skill set, gain exposure to a large variety of jobs and develop their career within a growing organisation.

Daily tasks & responsibilities:

• Pre-delivery inspections on all new equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repair recommendations (in workshop, on-site, over the phone)
• Scheduled maintenance and repair works on customer equipment
• Dispatch checks and return checks for all hire equipment
• Support with customer training sessions, equipment commissioning and product demonstrations
• Quality check all work completed to ensure it meets the required high standards
• ‘Housekeeping’ is a critical part of the position. You must maintain the appearance of the workplace in a clean and safe manner at all times, whilst presenting yourself professionally.

• Trade qualified a strong advantage (mechanical, hydraulic, fitting). At the minimum, a mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail and pride in quality of workmanship
• Organised approach to work
• Able to carry out instructions without constant supervision or re-work
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to contribute to the positive workplace culture and team environment
• Commitment to work, health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Permanent Australian work rights
• Current valid driver’s license
• Forklift license and first-aid certificate viewed favourably
