The Opportunity
Philip Chun are seeking an experienced Technical Administration Support person to join us in our Sydney CBD office located at Australia Square.
Working with our existing admin staff and a collaborative technical team, you will have the opportunity to provide support on a comprehensive range of projects as well as the implementation of new systems and processes.
This role will suit a clear communicator with excellent attention to detail, who is self-motivated and can juggle various tasks with set deadlines.
This is a full time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and accepting documentation for the issue of Construction Certificates / Occupation Certificates and Complying Development Certificates (CC/OC/CDC) with the assistance of a technical officer.
- Lodgements and updates to the NSW Planning Portal accurately and on time and assist clients with NSW Planning Portal queries.
- Responsibility for BCS (Building Certification Systems) input and updates following acceptance of all documentation (with the assistance of a technical officer).
- Review fee requests and Request for Tender (RFT’s) by private and Government sectors and prepare and issue relevant Fee Proposals in accordance with due dates and with the assistance of a technical officer.
- Project co-ordination including but not limited to fee and project set up and communications, as well as invoice co-ordination.
- Reviewing of Consultancy Agreements and Contracts issued by clients to ensure consistency with the Philip Chun Fee Proposal.
- External customer liaison.
- Miscellaneous office management tasks as required and shared with other staff. Ie: answering phones, filing emails etc.
- Comprehensive management of internal files and document review.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Prior experience in a technical administration support role within the commercial construction industry highly desirable.
- Prior experience with the NSW Planning Portal, highly desirable.
- BCS (Building Certifications Systems) experience desirable.
- Superior communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, able to work autonomously as well as the ability to multitask to ensure deadlines are met.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) with the ability to learn and adapt to new processes and systems quickly and accurately.
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a visa with full working rights for Australia.

- Additional 3 days leave between Christmas and New Year.
