The Mildura Base Public Hospital Oncology Day Unit has dedicated 9 chairs offering antineoplastic treatments and supportive care for cancer patients. The Role:
The Oncology Registered Nurse provides quality, evidence based and expert nursing care with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to ensure a high level of quality cancer patient care is delivered in line with the core values and the strategic direction of MBPH.
Remuneration from Registered Nurse Grade 2 Year 1 (YP2) to Registered Nurse Grade 2 Year 8 (YP9) dependant of years of experience under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) Enterprise Agreement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience
- CVAD management and IV cannulation skills
- Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement Process
- Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care
