About the role

Akron Group NT Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Plumber to join our team in Darwin, NT. This full-time role is an integral part of our operations, responsible for providing high-quality plumbing services to our diverse client base. You will be required to install, maintain and repair pipes, drains, guttering, related equipment for water supply, drainage and sewerage.

What you'll be doing

• Perform a wide range of residential and commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, and implement effective solutions
• Comply with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Setting out and installing hot and cold water systems and associated equipment
• Installing sanitary plumbing and water supply systems, discharge pipes and sanitary fixtures
• Installing sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems
• Installing below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment to a high standard

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in plumbing, such as a Certificate III in Plumbing
• Extensive experience as a qualified Plumber, preferably in a similar role
• Construction – White Card
• Be willing to undergo a Police Check and hold/be willing to obtain a Ocher Card
• Able to work after hours/weekends as part of on call roster
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Commitment to safety and compliance
