About the role

As a Quarry Worker at Newcastle Sand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's operations in the Sand extraction for the construction materials industry. This full-time position is located in Williamtown NSW 2318, and will involve hands-on work in the quarry environment.

What you'll be doing

• Operating Primarily an excavator with Gps, Front end loaders, and haul trucks, to extract materials from the quarry
• Assisting with the Extraction, processing and stockpiling of quarry products
• Performing Basic maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable quarry operation
• Some on ground work manual tasks as required
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver high-quality products to our construction industry clients

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in operating heavy machinery and equipment in a quarry or similar industrial setting, Gps excavator or sales loader experience highly regarded.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Commitment to safety and a keen awareness of environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients
• A positive attitude and the willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
