My well-known client is seeking an experienced manager (tax professional) looking for an exciting opportunity to join their dynamic team in Geraldton. (Relocation for the right candidate will be provided)

The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing company (currently 90 FTE) with exciting potential for career advancement. You’ll have the unique opportunity to become a principal in less than two years, with the added benefit of equity options.
You will need to offer support and guidance to a medium sized team of accountants, ensuring efficient policies and procedures are in place to ensure efficient internal workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified
- University graduate in Accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public practice.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as the role involves direct client interaction.
- A trustworthy, diligent, and collaborative team player.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in client-facing roles and mentoring junior accountants.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage compliance services and tax advisory for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal to offer expert advice on complex tax matters.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize client positions and minimize tax liabilities.
- Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and related documents.
- Stay up to date with the latest tax legislation and regulatory changes.
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed super funds, and individuals.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping using Xero, MYOB, and other software.
- Work alongside other professionals to deliver outstanding client results while fostering a positive and enjoyable team environment.
