About the Role

  • Provide First Nation cultural training awareness and education across all facilities and service incorporating all staff levels employed in Metro South Health.
  • Project management and support to Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services to ensure progression of specific First Nations' improvement initiatives contributing to Metro South Health, First Nations Health Equity Strategy 2022-2025.
  • Act as a key resource to assist services in reviewing pathways and specific resources to ensure access to available services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are appropriately maximised.
  • Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of health services as part of the Cultural and Strategy Planning Coordination Team and all levels of Metro South Health services through the alignment of work practices and initiatives to strategic and operational priorities.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
