About Drake and the opportunity:

Drake International is a leading recruitment agency with a strong presence in major metropolitan cities across Australia. Our specialised Drake Manufacturing division is currently seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our team.

We have multiple vacancies for physically strong, reliable labourers to work in steel factories in Carole Park, Eagle Farm and Acacia Ridge. Ideally you will have your forklift licence and have experience. Day and afternoon shift available.

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Operate machinery
• Operating forklifts safely across a warehouse
• Accurately pick and pack orders
• Promote and contribute to a safe workplace
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Assisting with physical labour tasks
• Operating other machinery as required
• Working in a team environment
• Operate Gantry Crane (experience a nice to have)
• First Aid certificate (nice to have)

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Current Forklift licence and experience operating it
• Be physically strong - yes front rowers, we want you!
• Have some type of warehouse/factory background
• Be reliable (turn up to work each shift)
• Keen to learn
• Stable work history
• A willingness to learn new skills and have a can-do attitude
• A safety focused mindset
• Thrives in a team environment
• Prior experience operating machinery or experience working in an industrial factory

What we are offering:

• Pay rates from $37.50 ph +super + penalties
• Day shift 6am to 2pm
• Afternoon shift 2pm to 10pm
• Overtime available

Nice to have:

• Overhead crane operator experience
• Previous machine operating experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Steel industry experience

*You must be able to pass a pre employment medical including a DRUG and alcohol test
