The Physiotherapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Advanced Physiotherapist (Rehabilitation) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

This position is responsible for providing advanced level skills, knowledge and leadership in the areas of rehabilitation physiotherapy, with a leadership and coordinating role in rehabilitation more broadly across the district.

About the Team

Our Physiotherapy Service delivers care to patients, both adults and children, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Physiotherapists aim to restore a person's function, maximising their mobility and health and minimising their dysfunction. Treatment is tailored to each individual and is based on the patient's needs.

About our Hospital and Health Service

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
