About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at Food Processing Equipment Pty Ltd in Brisbane, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our clients in the food processing industry.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance and repairs on a variety of food processing equipment, in particular cabinet radiation apparatus (X-Ray Equipment) to inspect food products
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, and implement efficient solutions
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain detailed records of all service work and report on equipment performance
• Collaborate with the broader team to improve service delivery and identify opportunities for growth
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician in the food processing industry (previous experience with meat or food equipment is desirable)
• Strong technical expertise in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of food processing equipment - an X-Ray License to operate a cabinet radiation apparatus (IS AN ADVANTAGE)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (mechanical trade or electrical license - A Class preferred)
