About the role

White Bay 6 Marine Precinct is seeking an experienced Service Team Leader to join their dynamic team. As the Service Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of the service department, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of services to our valued customers. This full-time position is based in our Balmain, NSW location.

What you'll be doing

• With a hands-on focus, you will lead a team, delegating tasks and ensuring preparation and application of marine protective coatings are completed to the highest standards to specified timeframes
• Oversee the scheduling and prioritisation of service jobs to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, helping to resolve complex issues
• Monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement training and development plans
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting teamwork and excellent customer service
• Liaise with customers, handling escalations and ensuring all queries are addressed in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to service work

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a service technician or team leader in the marine industry
• Strong technical knowledge specialising in marine protective coatings.
• Problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues
• Strong commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Proficient in planning, scheduling, and prioritising tasks to ensure efficient workflow
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster a positive, collaborative team environment
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety practices
