JD Ross Energy are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to work in the distribution design space, for our client who is a leading consultancy in the renewable energy and power sector.

Responsibilities

• Specialise in distribution and network design in accordance with Western Power/Horizon Power standards.
• Manage client interactions while maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships.
• Provide quality assurance processes for all team projects.
• Supporting and providing training for engineers to help them develop their skillset and knowledge.
• Actively engage with customers, local authorities and power utilities, utilizing network investigations, data analysis and application of network standards and guidelines.
• Complete design projects including underground power conversions, commercial and generation connections.
• Experience in preparing designs, material lists, estimating connection costs, and securing customer approvals.

About you:

• 7+ years of distribution networks experience (Western Power and Horizon Power preferable)
• Overhead line and underground design and modelling experience
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS.
• Underground power network design (including subdivisions).
• Expertise at communicating with stakeholders.
• Electrical Engineering Degree.
• Valid drivers license.
