The Role

The Business Support Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day business operational functions, ensuring smooth functioning, productivity and efficiency across all business operations. The position will involve a combination of leadership, organisation, and problem-solving.

Core responsibilities required:

Operational Support

  • Oversee and lead from the front with a hands-on approach whilst enhance.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with industry - company regulations/standards/policies, operating procedures and quality assurance across all products and service requirements.

Project and Service Management

  • Steadfast focus on the delivery of quality products and services that are second to none, for delivering the best outcomes for the business.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, executing business operational projects and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Managing Team Operations

  • Supervising and coordinating teams whilst providing support across business operations, such as customer service, technical support and directing-guiding-mentoring teams and recruitment-onboarding.
  • Fostering a spirit of a positive and productive work environment across all operations.
  • Providing support and guidance to team members and senior management, to ensure alignment on goals and tasks are exceeded.

Process Improvement

  • Optimising overall business efficiency inline with Senior Management to make support functions more efficient by, identifying and implementing applicable process improvements that lead to cost reductions, time savings, increased efficiency and better service quality.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Focusing on smooth operations and optimising workflows whilst increasing efficiency across business operations and the successful implementation of business strategies.

Resource Allocation

  • Ensuring that all teams have the right resources, such as training, technology, and personnel, to meet and exceed business needs.
  • Managing resources and ensuring they are allocated appropriately to meet business needs.
  • Managing vendor contracts and ensuring the business is receiving value from external service providers.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting

  • Addressing operational challenges that arise within the operational support functions by ensuring timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to the business.
  • Identifying non-conformance and resolving personnel problems.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensuring AAA Ability support services, meet customer expectations.
  • Serve as a liaison across business operations.
  • Preserve stakeholder and customer satisfaction levels whilst developing strong relationships with external stakeholders, clients, vendors, or partners.
Key Skills and Qualifications required:

Leadership and People Skills

  • Hands on leader approach, with a natural ability to empower others and lead positive team cultures to the best they can be!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding and effective communicator to all levels, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Proven experience with customer relationships, retention and development of client leads.
  • Previous experience dealing with small to large Builders, Government Departments, Facility Management Companies.

Project Management Experience

  • Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or traditional project management).
  • Experience with projects estimation, managing projects, deadlines, and coordinating resources.
  • Commitment to HSE (Health Safety Environment) culture

Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently.

Budget and Financial Management

  • Experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Ability to monitor expenses and identify cost-effective solutions.

Time Management and Organisation

  • Highly self-motivated with a mature attitude, strong work ethic and reliable.
  • Ability to recognise and act on all opportunities and take ownership of actions.
  • Ability to work across both security manufacturing and Locksmithing within a multi-faceted company.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, when faced with change, competing priorities, problems and work demands whilst ensuring workflows meet deadlines and within budget.

Proficiency in Software

  • Knowledge of business software tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, ERP software, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project management and communication tools.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business administration, management, trade or engineering qualifications along with experience in manufacturing or service field, business operations, project management, or administrative roles, will be an advantage
  • Current drivers’ licence and police clearance.
  • Current white card
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Jobs Management program

Work Environment

  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple workstreams.
