We are looking for a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic at ECO AUTOS on our site UNIT 7D 23-25 Windsor Rd, Northmead, NSW 2152. You will be required to undertake the following duties.

• Diagnosis of automotive vehicles (various makes and models).
• Ability to figure out the fault, repair and provide the best possible solution
• Mechanical repairs include periodic servicing, brake repair, clutches, and timing belt repair/replacement on different makes and models.
• Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues.
• Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment.
• Change engine and transmission oils.
• Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles.
• Roadworthy Testing
• Adhere to and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, and perform general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.
• Quick respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service
• Train other workshop trainee/staff.

Skills and Qualifications

• Australian Qualifications with Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Automotive
• 1 years or more experience required in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.
• Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues
• Should know safety regulations and practices.
• AC Handling License is regarded but not essential
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Japanese/European car service experience is an asset & will be highly regarded but not essential.

The benefits

• Salary ranging $75,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
• ability to work full time or on a structured week
