Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated engineer with an interest in lighting and manufacturing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our projects, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of innovative lighting solutions as well as working in our Brisbane based factory. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, broadening your experience while also developing specialisations in various roles and make a meaningful impact in the field of lighting and technology in Brisbane and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop lighting concepts and designs that meet client requirements and project objectives.
• Conduct feasibility studies, lighting simulations, and technical analysis to evaluate design options and propose optimal solutions.
• Design and engineer lighting systems, fixtures, and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Develop detailed lighting plans, layouts, and specifications using CAD software and lighting design tools.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to installation and commissioning.
• Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors to source materials, components, and equipment for lighting projects.
• Participate in product testing, evaluation, and quality assurance processes to ensure the performance and reliability of lighting products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience with lighting design, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Lucid Chart). Lighting design software is a bonus (e.g., Dialux, AGi32).
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of lighting systems, components, and technologies.
• Experience in B2B sales and customer service
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in project estimating
• Enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and continuous learning in the field of lighting technology.
