Construction Estimator - Commercial Fitout & Refurbishment
Now Careers client, an established and reputable construction company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Estimator to join their team, specialising in commercial fitout and refurbishment projects. With over 20 years of industry experience, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects within budget and on time, working across a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, hospitality, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial fitout and refurbishment projects, ensuring all aspects of the scope are considered.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other departments to gather relevant information and create comprehensive estimates.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to obtain accurate pricing and procurement details.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to assess the project scope and potential cost factors.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals.
• Monitor project budgets and assist in financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure estimates align with the company's policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance with project requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a strong focus on commercial fitout and refurbishment projects, with a value $1 million to $15 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
• Excellent understanding of project budgets, pricing structures, and financial management.
• Proficient in estimation software and tools (ideally CHEOPS and Procore)
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ability to analyse project plans and specifications to determine accurate costs.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
