Megatronic Power Systems is an Electrical and Control Systems EPC specialist. It offers full turnkey solutions to our clients with multi-discipline Engineering and Construction projects.

Megatronic are also an extremely innovative enterprise and as a result of its research and development programme they are the proud owners of a number of patents including its cutting-edge Industrial Battery Management Solution.

To support our business commitment to quality service and growth, we are currently seeking Electricians to join our talent pool for upcoming projects. Some projects are Perth based and some will be site based with rosters ranging from 4 days to 3 weeks. Candidates are well looked after and treated professionally.

The role will be mainly site based on a project-by-project basis with attractive hourly rates and paid lunch breaks.

Applicants must have a sound understanding of testing and WA Regulations and hold a current WA A Class Electrical Licence along with a current driver’s licence. Industrial/mine site experience is essential. Experience on Rio Tinto and FMG sites will be highly regarded.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Hands on electrical installation works
• Hydrocarbon and water control systems electrical installations
• Megatronic Battery Monitoring Systems and battery power system installations.
• Report on work as required;
• Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
• Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
• Ensure works are carried out according to design and technical specifications, and any internal and/ or client requirements are followed, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
• Projects will be predominantly site based with projects ranging from 4 days to 3 weeks.

Skills and experience

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• WA A Class Electrical Licence;
• Full driver licence;
• Rio Tinto Inductions (and FMG Inductions would be a bonus)
• Construction White Card;
• First Aid Low Voltage rescue and CPR;
• Working at heights / EWP;
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and attention to detail, accuracy and a strong safety attitude
• Be able to pass pre-employment medical
• Must have a positive attitude.
