Join Our Team as a Youth Worker in Before and After School Care!
Are you passionate about making a difference and working with children? We’re looking for a dedicated Youth Worker to join our Before and After School Care program! If you love helping kids thrive, having fun, and being a positive influence, this role is for you.
About the Role:
As a casual Youth Worker in our Before and After School Care program in Toowoomba, you’ll work with children aged 5-12, providing support and guidance in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. Your role will focus on helping children with a variety of needs, including those with disabilities, as they transition between school and home life. You’ll help create a positive and engaging atmosphere for all the kids in your care.
Shift Hours:
- Before School Care: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
- After School Care: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Optional Extra Hours: If you're interested in working during school holidays, you may have the opportunity to support our program during that time as well.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist children with their needs, including emotional support, mobility, and communication assistance.
- Lead or assist with recreational activities and games to keep children engaged.
- Ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
- Collaborate with the team to provide the best care possible for all children.

What We’re Looking For:
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Patience and understanding when supporting kids with varying needs.
- Experience with children (especially those with disabilities) is preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is a bonus.
Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain
- Working with Children Check (Blue card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow card)
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
- CPR and First Aid certificate
