About the role

Vella Civil, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Foreman to join our team in Luddenham, NSW. As a Civil Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality civil engineering works. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the work of construction crews, including monitoring productivity, quality, and safety
• Interpreting and implementing construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard
• Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during construction
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the project
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Providing training and guidance to less experienced team members
• Promoting a safe and positive work environment for all employees

What we're looking for

• Significant experience as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of civil principles, construction methods, and project management
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
