Your Role
As a Sterilising Technician you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our patients. You will play a critical role in our operating theatres, responsible for the care, handling and reprocessing of reusable medical instruments in accordance with the national standards.
Your tasks will include:
- Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of all instruments
- Cleaning, decontamination, sorting and assembling surgical instrument trays
- Provision of excellent care and service to clients in line with their personalised care plans
- Using a holistic approach, working within a multidisciplinary team, achieving the optimum care for clients
- Liaison with and referral to other organisations as required provide for the client's needs

Role Requirements
- Certificate III in Sterilisation and current knowledge of the national standards
- Minimum 2 years previous experience within similar role
- Good computer & mobile device skills
- First Aid & CPR certificates, required within one month of commencement
- Be vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
- Current National Police Check
- Where applicable, Disability Services Queensland screening and Working with Children Check will also be required
