DARE Disability Support operates a Rec & Leisure program to support people with disability to explore new places, connect with friends, learn new skills and participate in life experiences.
We are seeking a part-time Team Leader (30 hours per week) to organise activities and resources as well as mentor, co-ordinate, support and supervise support staff and volunteers in their roles of assisting clients with disabilities in community participation and social activities.
Job functions include: -
- Plan, organise and co-ordinate service activities, including client transport and staff rostering,
- Supervise, co-ordinate and lead a team of Support Workers,
- Be available for on-call during activities,
- Undertake risk assessments on planned activities,
- Maintain systems and records to ensure accurate and timely NDIS billing.
The preferred applicant will have: -
- Genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities,
- Have a background in events management,
- Strong organisation and planning skills,
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills,
- A valid NSW Drivers Licence (Minimum P2),
- A cleared NDIS Worker Check.
A certificate IV and 1st Aid Certificate will also be highly regarded.
