Gunnedah Automotive is a multi-franchised dealership located in Gunnedah in North-West NSW.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician/Workshop Foreman to join our fast-paced team. Candidates will be partially productive on the floor whilst nurturing apprentices for the future and assisting technicians with diagnosis jobs when needed.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage and lead the workshop team to ensure efficient and high-quality repair and maintenance services
• Conducting vehicle diagnostics, service and repairs
• Adhering to checklists and quality control standards to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Abiding by manufacturer warranty guidelines for all warranty work.
• Maintaining accurate reports
• Completing repair work and/or maintenance as per the repair order to dealership and brand requirements
• Keep up to date with mandatory factory training
• Conducting road/quality tests in a timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring that all faults are identified and documented on all relevant service documentation
• Maintaining effective channels of communication with staff and customers at all times and ensure that all forms of communication are done in a way which is complimentary to our brands and image to ensure satisfaction
• Ensuring a detailed knowledge of our brand products are maintained, including keeping up-to-date with all workshop technical literature and software.
• Mentor and develop the skills of the technician team
• Implement and maintain workshop processes and procedures to optimise productivity
• Ensure workshop compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

To ensure success within this role you will have:

• Technical qualifications as an automotive technician/mechanic
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Outstanding customer service orientation
• The ability to work as part of a team that supports each other and is committed to delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A current, valid driver's licence
