Software Engineer

A full-time Software Engineer required for Gladstone Fuels Pty Ltd in a small regional SA’s town of
Gladstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for a comprehensive IT support and
management for multiple retail sites- fuel stations and hospitality venues - in regional South
Australia. You will ensure smooth operation, performance and security of applications. In your role
you will:

• Evaluate current software solutions and processes and ascertain application needs and enhance performance for all the sites.
• Provide advice on procurement, implementation and maintenance of all IT software and hardware across the sites.
• Provide management support.
• Update website, Point of Sale System Operations.
• Provide network support, and design of digital media signage.
• Test, diagnose troubleshoot and correct errors in applications currently used.
• Collect and analyse operational data, identify threats and inefficiencies and propose satisfactory solutions.
• Update technical programs, documentation and operational procedures.
• Manage application deployment and mitigate risks that may affect performance, reliability and security.
• Deploy encryption and decryption solutions for specific users

You will have relevant knowledge and experience in setting and managing relevant IT infrastructure
and operations. Your essential demonstrable skills and experience must include Python, SQL and
Power BI in business, PROFIT-TRACK software POS, Beacon software and Swift POS, configuration of
EFTPOS services, Mandoe software, network support (DHCP, DNS, WAN Management and Gateway
Configuration). A degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of relevant experience or a
substitute commensurate experience is mandatory. 75-90 k per year.
