About the role

TruDesign Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a leading hand - accessory fitter to not only fit trays and canopies, but also oversee the day-to-day operations of our fitment workshop in Luscombe, QLD. As the leading hand, you will be responsible for leading and managing our team, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of services to our valued customers. This is a full-time position that is a hands on role, a successful candidate is a good leader, with an eye for detail.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee all workshop operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of fitters, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
• Liaise with customers, providing updates on job progress and addressing any concerns or issues
• Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, inventory, and performance metrics
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Experience in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry
• Strong technical knowledge and hands on skills.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to effectively communicate with clients
