We are looking for an experienced Senior Farm Hand to join our team at Chilimony Aggregation, Northampton WA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive farming enterprise, supporting the Farm Manager in all aspects of livestock and cropping operations.

About the Role:

As a Senior Farm Hand, you will play a crucial role in daily farm operations, bringing hands-on experience and leadership to the team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Livestock Management – Assisting with feeding, health checks, mustering, and handling.
• Cropping Operations – Involvement in seeding, spraying, fertilising, harvesting, and general paddock maintenance.
• Machinery Operation & Maintenance – Operating and maintaining tractors, sprayers, and other farm machinery.
• Team Leadership & Training – Providing guidance to junior staff and ensuring best practices are followed.
• Safety & Compliance – Ensuring all activities align with farm safety protocols and regulations.
• Record Keeping & Reporting – Maintaining records of farm activities, machinery maintenance, and stock movements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of operational farm experience.
• Strong background in broadacre cropping and livestock management.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining modern farm machinery.
• Leadership and communication skills to support and train junior team members.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• A proactive and safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, especially during peak seasons.

Qualifications & Licenses:

• Full Driver’s License (essential).
• AQF 3 Chemical Accreditation (ChemCERT) (required).
• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (desirable but not essential).
• Experience with GPS and precision farming technology (preferred).

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Physical labour, including lifting, bending, and machinery operation.
• Extended hours during peak seeding and harvest periods.
• Compliance with Workplace Health & Safety standards.
