THE ROLE
Due to company growth we are seeking a Boilermaker/First Class Welder to join our Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis on a salary of $100,500 per annum. Salaries are based on 38 hours per week, however you will be paid for all hours worked.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out maintenance activities according to plan
- Carry out breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner
- Provide accurate information to update the maintenance information system
- Follow and complete all required reports correctly
- Monitor the environment and report to the Line Manager on an ongoing basis regarding status of plant and equipment
- Understand all relevant policies, procedures and legislative obligations
- Take corrective action where necessary in response to reported defects
- Work in accordance with the shutdown department HSEQ plans which focus on all aspects of the HSEQ system
- Carry out work in accordance with statutory requirements
- Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Fabrication Trade Certificate
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of welding procedures
- Ability to fabricate, service, diagnose and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment.
- Excellent communications and organisational skills
- Previous FIFO or mine site experience
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- White card
