We are now recruiting for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) registered with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to join our Avive Clinic Mornington Peninsula team. This is a part-time, 0.8 FTE working Friday to Monday weekly. Penalties and loadings in addition to the advertised hourly rate apply.

Your opportunity
The role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager with duties including, but not limited to the following:
- support/mentor staff to deliver high standard, patient-centred care with a focus on excellent patient experience and outcomes
- provide guidance, leadership and support to all staff to assist them in reaching their full potential
- provide professional clinical support and education to staff
- ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment
- demonstrate strong clinical skills and judgment
- delegate and coordinate staff and resources on each shift
- coordinate/fill in gaps in staff rosters i.e. filling sick leave
- support the Nurse Unit Manager
- maintain an environment that enables continuing professional development for self and staff
- actively participate in continuous improvement of the ward
- lead systems that promote and advocate a safe supportive environment for patients, families and staff
- be accessible and identifiable to all staff/patients/families as the operational manager/leader of the shift
- communicate professionally and effectively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
