As a Sales Cadet/Trainee in the Marine and Powersports industry, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from our experienced sales team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the boat sales process, gain in-depth knowledge of our range of marine products as well as off-road/on-road vehicles and develop your skills in customer service, sales techniques, and industry-specific knowledge. Whether you’re a boating enthusiast or simply eager to start a career in a dynamic industry, this role is designed to help you grow and succeed. The position is designed as a traineeship, educating and empowering the candidate to one day be given the opportunity within the business to be a stand-alone Sales Manager and be allocated a brand of their own. We anticipate the Sales Cadetship to last for 18-24 months.

Role is full time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm & Saturday until 2pm, location is our retail facility at 3 Ereton Drive, Arundel with a base salary of $58,500 P/A plus a competitive commision program.

Key Responsibilities.

• Sales Training: Participate in a structured training program that covers sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service, and the fundamentals of the marine powersports industry.

• Customer Interaction: Assist in providing expert advice to customers, helping them choose the right boat, engine, or accessories based on their needs and preferences.

• Product Knowledge: Learn about various types of boats, Bowriders, Wake boats and Fishing/Day boats, marine engines, accessories, and safety equipment to effectively educate customers. Additionally, the opportunity to learn about the entire range of products offered.

• Sales Support: Provide assistance in processing orders, preparing quotes, managing inventory, and handling general sales administration tasks.

• Product Demonstration: Provide consumers a real world experience with some amazing products.

• Customer Relationship Management: Work with the sales team to maintain and build relationships with both new and returning customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

• Showroom Assistance: Support the daily operations of the showroom, ensuring products are displayed correctly, well-maintained, and easy for customers to view.

• Marketing & Promotion: Assist with events, boat shows, and promotional activities to engage with potential customers and generate sales leads.

• Sales Targets: Learn how to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs with guidance from the senior sales team.

• Previous retail sales and customer service experience.
• An interest in boating, water sports, or the marine industry.
• Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with boats and engines is a plus.
• Marine, PWC, Motorcycle license advantageous.
