About the Role:

• Provide person-centred support to children with disabilities, ensuring their individual needs and strengths are met
• Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children feel supported and encouraged to thrive
• Facilitate skill-building, independence, and confidence through meaningful activities
• Work weekends and school holidays to provide consistent and quality care

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the disability support or healthcare sector.
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of personal care practices and medication management (mandatory).
• Experience working with children with special needs, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and a person-centred approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
• Adaptability to travel between locations and respond flexibly to diverse client needs.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including experience with client management systems.
• A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred:

• Currently undertaking or have completed studies in a relevant field.
• A strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth in disability support.
