Synaco Global Recruitment is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation, spray painting, and applying protective coatings to various industrial equipment and structures. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site.

Our client, located in the Northern Territory, offers a lifestyle-friendly 2:1 FIFO roster on an ongoing basis for the right candidate. Chartered flights are provided from Darwin or Cairns, with interstate candidates responsible for their travel to one of these departure points. Onsite meals and accommodation are included. A site-specific pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol screening are required prior to mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed
• Apply industrial coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes
• Mix and match paints and coatings according to specifications
• Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure a smooth, even finish
• Operate and maintain painting equipment safely
• Follow workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and ventilation
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Current manual driver’s license, and EWP + 11m high risk work license
• Confined space entry and working heights certification (within the last 3 years)
• Previous experience in industrial painting or a similar role
• Knowledge of different painting techniques, coatings, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces
• WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) knowledge and compliance
