We're seeking enthusiastic and reliable Trades Assistants to join our client's bustling Poly Department workshop located in Edinburgh Parks. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic setting, supporting our skilled tradespeople in the fabrication and maintenance of polyethylene-based products.

About the Role:
As a Trades Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our workshop. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting tradespeople with various tasks, such as cutting, welding, and assembling polyethylene components.
• Preparing materials and equipment for upcoming projects.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Operating hand and power tools under supervision.
• Following safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment.
• Learning and adhering to quality control standards.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials.
• Performing other duties as required to support the team.

What We're Looking For:

• White card
• Drivers licence
• Forklift licence (desirable)
• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• The ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools (advantageous but not essential).
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Previous experience in a workshop environment (desirable).
