Having played an important role in the Cohuna community since 1940s, we are looking for a FRACGP/FARRCM GP who is interested in working in rural Victoria.

Our practice is located in Cohuna, which is a beautiful regional Victoria town that is situated 3 hours north of Melbourne and just south of the Murray River. With this amazing scenery at our doorsteps, Ochre Health Cohuna has always been a desirable destination to practice medicine.

About Ochre Health Medical Centre Cohuna

Ochre Health Medical Centre in Cohuna is the only medical centre in the area that services the 2,500 residents but also provides services to a larger catchment of 10,000 people. In this community we have also partnered with Cohuna District Hospital to help keep general and procedural medical services alive in regional Victoria.

GP Offering:

• Flexible working arrangements (no end date, flexible-open contract) - choose your GP session hours and days
• $20,000 incentive payment
• 65% of billings at the practice
• High earning potential with most GPs billing over $400 per hour
• As the premiere provider of primary care, doctors at OH Cohuna practice have the option to participate on Cohuna District Hospital's ED VMO roster (1:4 model)
• Cohuna is listed as a RA3/RRMA5 location (MM5 and DPA)
• Full nursing staff, administration staff and chronic disease management program support provided

Position Requirements:

• FACRRM/FRACGP (AHPRA Vocational Registration)
• Previous experience working in a rural or remote location
