Wanted: A Sparky to Light the Way for Tomorrow’s Electricians
Are you a qualified electrician looking to hang up your tools and pass on the skills you’ve mastered? Or perhaps you’re an experienced trainer eager to make a real impact, guiding young people toward fulfilling careers in electrotechnology? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Whether you bring a trade qualification, a TAE, or both, joining one of Queensland’s largest Registered Training Organizations (RTOs) will open doors to new opportunities for you. If you have experience in electrotechnology up to and over Cert II level—and a passion for teaching, we want to talk.
The Role: Trainer and Assessor
We’re seeking a Trainer and Assessor who’s excited to help shape the next generation of electricians. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessments, setting your students up for success and a clear pathway to apprenticeships. Whether you’re a seasoned teacher or new to training, we have the support and resources to help you thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a mentor and a guide, listening to and encouraging students along their journey.
- Deliver engaging, practical training for Certificate II pre-apprenticeship qualifications, including VET in Schools.
- Connect theory to practice, helping students master the skills they need to succeed in apprenticeships.
- Keep in touch with students, supervisors, and stakeholders to track progress and ensure satisfaction.
- Deliver courses in line with industry requirements and training packages, ensuring students gain real-world skills.
Key Requirements:
- A trade qualification and/or a Cert IV TAE40116 (or higher).
- A strong desire to teach, inspire, and support students.
- Industry experience in electrotechnology or auto-electrical fields.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing environments and student needs.
If you don't have your Cert IV TAE yet, but you’re passionate about training and eager to grow and share your experience, apply anyway—we’ll discuss pathway opportunities to help you get there.
Why This Opportunity?
Imagine a career where you’re not just clocking hours but making a real difference in the lives of young people. At Major Training, we’re offering you the chance to step off the tools and into a role that’s rewarding, impactful, and forward-thinking. Join us in building the future workforce and start your journey today.
Apply now and help us spark something extraordinary.
