This role represents a big opportunity to contribute to, and benefit from, the ongoing growth of this dynamic consultancy. In particular, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Development of strategies & management plans for infrastructure projects including Sustainability management plans, Climate Change Strategies, Resilience Strategies, Resource Efficiency Strategies and Action Plans relating to materials and waste management.
  • Supporting and providing clients with direction regarding the implementation of Infrastructure Sustainability Council Ratings. This includes providing advice to achieve better environmental outcomes resulting in infrastructure projects receiving higher verified ratings. (For reference, this is a rating scheme similar to the Green Building Council of Australia’s GreenStar rating scheme, with a focus on infrastructure.)
  • Coordination and guidance to civil contractors on how to undertake project delivery in a sustainable manner to minimize or mitigate impacts across the following areas:
  1. enhance ecological outcomes,
  2. minimize or mitigate air quality impacts, and
  3. reduce construction and operational noise and vibration impacts.
  4. Waste Management and Resource Management tasks, including advice on how clients can: o reduce their consumption of materials, energy, and water,
  5. implement circular economy outcomes,
  6. reduce their waste production, and
  7. support with the tracking of materials, waste, and energy data.

• Delivering Climate Change and Resilience Risk Assessments and subsequent Action Plans including providing advice on how clients can improve the climate resilience of their infrastructure assets.

• Supporting clients with environmental and sustainability related reporting, including annual and monthly reporting cycles.

• Presenting to Clients, including Projects, Government, and corporate parent companies of Project contractors on environment and sustainability-related topics. This includes knowledge-sharing on sustainability progress, and provision of advice for the integration of sustainability both on projects and within company structure. In addition, this includes facilitating educational presentations on topics such as sustainable procurement, climate change impacts on infrastructure, and integrating environmental practices into waste management on site.

Qualifications and Experience

For this role we are looking for a candidate with

  • Tertiary level qualification in sustainability, environmental, engineering, or economics
  • At least 3 years’ experience in our service areas (listed above)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in our market sectors (listed above)
  • Experience in professional services or consulting – winning work and quality delivery
  • Project management skills
  • Team and people management skills

This is a FULL-TIME role based in Perth. The salary is $90 - $110k depending on experience.
