About the role

Milbrodale Hay', a leading provider of high-quality hay and livestock feed, is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their farm in Milbrodale 2330, NSW. This is a full-time or part time role depending on committments and is crucial in ensuring the efficient and sustainable management of the farm's resources and the production of premium agricultural products.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all aspects of the farm's operations, including planting, harvesting, and maintenance of crops and pastures
  • Oversee the care and well-being of the farm's catltle, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding programs
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural regulations and industry best practices
  • Manage and coordinate farm workers and contractors
  • Monitor and maintain farm equipment and infrastructure
  • Prepare and analyse reports on farm performance and finance

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in farm management or a related agricultural role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crop (Rhodes Grass desirable) and livestock management, with a deep understanding of sustainable farming practices
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • Proficiency in using farm management software and technology including GPS Tractor
  • Qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is desirable
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
