We are seeking a reliable and experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to work with our skilled team. This role involves assisting with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and hands-on experience in designing, assembling, troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, assembling, installing and maintenance of electrical systems, circuitry, switches, motor control systems, and equipment
• Conduct tests, calibration, and inspections on control systems, switchboards, and other electrical systems, to ensure proper operation and compliance
• Assist in calculating material quantities and costs
• Execute the design by installation and/or fabrication of those plans
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure project goals are met
• Ensure designs and final products are meeting the specifications, and compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
• Provide technical support and advice to junior staff as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum Tertiary qualification (Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering/ Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or electrical technician roles
