About the Company
We are a well-established, multi-site retail business with 15+ stores across Sydney, known for delivering exceptional products and outstanding customer experiences. As we continue to expand our footprint and modernise our brand presence, we are creating a new Head of Marketing role to lead our marketing strategy and elevate our market position.
About the Role
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth across all retail locations and digital channels. This is a newly created leadership position reporting directly to the CEO, offering the opportunity to shape the company’s marketing vision and build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Lead brand positioning, customer engagement, and market growth initiatives across multiple retail sites.
- Build and manage a small but high-impact marketing team covering brand, digital, and in-store marketing.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Brand & Communications
- Oversee the development and execution of brand campaigns, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Manage internal and external communications, including PR, media relations, and corporate messaging.
- Strengthen brand identity and ensure a cohesive customer experience across online and physical stores.
- Digital & Customer Marketing
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, including social media, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and website management.
- Oversee CRM strategies to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
- Leverage data analytics to understand customer behaviour and optimise marketing spend and ROI.
- Retail & Local Marketing
- Partner with regional and store managers to develop localised marketing initiatives that drive foot traffic and sales.
- Support promotional events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform local marketing strategies.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or head-of-department role.
- Proven success in retail, consumer goods, or multi-site businesses.
- Strong understanding of brand development, digital marketing, and customer engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver measurable results.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
