Nestled by the serene Copacabana Beach, Burnt Honey Bakery is a hub of artisanal excellence on the Central Coast of NSW. Our bakery is a testament to the art of traditional baking, where every loaf and pastry tells a story.

We are now looking for a Kitchen Hand or Bakers Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract. This contract is for an immediate start up until end of January 2026 (with possibility to extend).

Position: Kitchen Hand or Bakers Assistant/Trainee

Shifts: 4 days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday. Day shifts with some early morning starts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning Duties: Ensuring all kitchen areas, including counters, appliances, and floors, are kept clean and sanitised, adhering to health and safety standards.

Dishwashing: Promptly washing, drying, and storing dishes, utensils, and baking equipment, ensuring they are readily available for the kitchen team.

Bakers Training: Work under instruction from our baking team to develop skills incl loading proofer, weighing ingredients, mixing doughs, peeling, chopping and more.

Waste Management: Efficiently disposing of waste, recycling where possible, and ensuring the kitchen environment is always clutter-free.

Collaboration: Working closely with our baking team, being proactive in assisting wherever necessary, and ensuring a harmonious working environment.

ABOUT YOU:

Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a bakery, patisserie or commercial kitchen environment.

Availability: Ability to consistently work shifts on a weekly roster

Reliability: Commitment to punctuality and dependability

Team Player: Eagerness to be part of a team that values collaboration, skill, and dedication.

Passion for Baking: A genuine interest for artisan baking and a desire to learn and grow in the craft. This is a unique opportunity for a young trainee to gain experience alongside a small, passionate team.

Drivers Licence and own car/vehicle essential (no public transport)
