Be Bold. Belong. Be More.

At Southern Cross University, we do things differently, and so can you.

A career with us is more than you might expect. Yes, it’s about the heart, connectedness and community you’d hope for in a regional university. But there’s also so much more. Our game changing Southern Cross Model brings a deeper, focused learning experience and our research is deeply connected to our regions, making a difference on a global scale. This is your chance to help us build something new and meaningful for our students, our communities and your career. To drive change, make a real impact, and thrive in a place as unique as you.

You can be good anywhere. Here, you can be great.

Your opportunity

As our Inclusion Support Officer within the Study Well team, you’ll play an important role in coordinating the delivery of support services that enable students with disabilities or long-term health conditions to participate equitably in their studies.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the Inclusion Support Worker (ISW) program, ensuring students are matched with appropriate supports.
  • Coordinating and implementing assistive technology and accessibility solutions.
  • Collaborating across teams to deliver inclusive education initiatives that help students succeed.
  • Supporting the onboarding, training and coordination of up to 20 casual ISWs.
  • Managing data, reporting and procurement processes to ensure service delivery and compliance.

What you will bring

You’re an organised, tech-minded problem solver who’s passionate about accessibility and inclusion. You thrive in a role that blends people coordination, systems, and practical problem-solving - all to make a meaningful difference for students. We’re seeking a passionate individual committed to inclusive support, with a strong interest in progressing toward an Inclusion Adviser role as part of their career development

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree and experience in education, allied health, mental health, disability services or related field.
  • Knowledge and/or proven experience in working inclusive education practices, disability services, and accommodations, ideally within a University setting.
  • A keen interest in new and transforming technologies
  • Strong administrative and coordination skills, with experience scheduling staff.
  • A proactive, intuitive approach to problem-solving and commitment to equity and inclusion.

It’s not essential, but we’d love it if you also bring knowledge of assistive technologies, adaptive equipment or accessibility tools. An understanding of, or lived experience with, neurodiversity or disability inclusion would be highly regarded.
