About the Role

As a Street Cleansing Labourer Field Staff, you will:

Carry out street and footpath cleaning

Empty, clean and maintain public litter bins and fixtures

Operate sweepers, vacuums and scrubbing units on roads and carparks

Remove litter, posters, graffiti and debris from public areas

Liaise courteously with residents, shopkeepers and Council staff during daily operations

Maintain accurate daily work records and complete timesheets

Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and wear required personal protective equipment

Participate in required training and team meetings

Perform overtime and weekend work as required

What You’ll Bring

A good level of physical fitness and stamina

Experience in cleansing, waste services or similar outdoor labouring work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

Current Class C drivers’ licence

Commitment to workplace safety, customer service and quality results

Ability to work safely around pedestrian and vehicular traffic

Commitment to WHS and EEO principles, including participation in relevant training

Desirable:

Licences or certifications for operating heavy plant or machinery

Experience using sweepers, scrubbers, or vacuum cleansing equipment
