About the Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Stonemason to join our dedicated team at our Rookwood Cemetery site. You will be responsible for quality construction and the restoration of monuments, along with the installation of foundations, within Rookwood General Cemeteries.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Monumental installation including constructing monuments and installing foundations
• Operate plant and equipment including excavator, cranes, forklift and other like powered machinery if required
• Completing monumental restoration and repair
• Carrying out heritage conservation work
• Basic landscaping

About You

Requirements:

• Skills in hard landscaping and stonework highly valued
• Tradespeople with experience in construction such as builders, bricklayers or carpenters encouraged to apply
• Relevant apprenticeships or qualifications in stonemasonry or a related trade a plus
• Experience working with stone, brick or other masonry materials desirable
• Qualification in Stonemasonry is desirable but not essential
• Physical ability to work outdoors and lift heavy materials a requirement
• Own transport and current manual Driver's License
• General understanding of WHS
• Have pride in your work & attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
