We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic Earthmoving Equipment Hire team. Since 1955 this hire operation is now one of the largest in APAC, they employee over 4000 staff and operate in every state of Australia, NZ and Southeast Asia. With business having 4 major arms to the business, Hire, New equipment sales, Parts and Finance. They strive to be one of the best in the country for delivery hire equipment to major customers and can offer short-term and long-term contracts. With Service and parts being support from Melbourne Southeast and transport you will have of the best aftermarket operations in Australia. You will be supported by head office in Brisbane; you will oversee the State and all major customers. About the role
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing and growing key client relationships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Based in our Dandenong South office, this position offers a competitive salary and the chance to contribute to the success of a leading equipment hire company.
It goes without saying that the Victorian market has changed, The Tunnels are finished, and the government is not investing into any new infrastructure projects, Its only small civil projects and small number of projects on the arisen. With Renewables and upcoming projects, we now need a senior BDM that can drive sales and win new projects throughout Melbourne. Your role will be to track down and win new customers within these markets. You will still manage and work with existing accounts and work and support new projects that arise in time in Civil and construction. We are looking for that industry expert that has ears to the ground and knows what is happening and where. You will have full support from the teams and drive market equipment contracts whilst the market picks up over the next 12 months.
In your portfolio of machinery, you have the following
· Wheel Loaders
· Excavators 12 tonne to 60 tonne
· Dozers
· Rollers
· Articulated Dumps Trucks
· Water Carts
· Graders
· Tele Handlers
· Mini Construction equipment
What you'll be doing
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and cross-selling opportunities
Proactively identify and pursue new business prospects, negotiating and closing sales agreements
Provide expert advice and tailored solutions to meet the equipment hire needs of clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery and exceptional customer service
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and implement targeted marketing initiatives
Represent Cappro Pacific at industry events and networking functions
Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience in a sales or account management role, preferably within the earthmoving equipment or construction industry
Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to engage with clients at all levels
Technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment and the construction industry
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required
Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
