About the Role
As the Principal Data Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering trusted, timely and actionable data that supports informed decision-making across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). You’ll lead and guide initiatives that transform complex data into meaningful insights, helping shape strategies that enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of health services.
Working within the Evidence & Insights Unit, you’ll oversee the design, development and evaluation of data systems and processes that integrate sensitive clinical and business information. Your expertise will help ensure data integrity, consistency and usability across the organisation. Collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, you’ll provide specialist advice, develop innovative analytical solutions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through evidence-based reporting and performance analysis.

You are an analytical and solutions-focused professional who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive better outcomes. With strong technical expertise, leadership ability and a collaborative mindset, you excel in delivering high-quality analysis and reporting that supports evidence-based decision-making.
- Skilled in researching, analysing and resolving complex data challenges to deliver effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Experienced in leading the design, delivery and evaluation of data management, reporting and analytics programs.
- Proficient in statistical tools and technologies such as SQL, Power BI and data visualisation to produce high-quality reports and insights.
- Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to engage stakeholders, manage projects and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
