About the School

Corinda State High School is one of Brisbane's leading state high schools, proudly located in the city's vibrant western suburbs. Offering a comprehensive coeducational experience from Year 7 to Year 12, the school is renowned for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
Our Food Services department operates multiple outlets across the school, providing meals to over 2,000 students and 250 staff daily. In addition, the team delivers catering and food service for a variety of school events — from staff meetings and student functions to community celebrations and formal occasions.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with daily food preparation, cooking, and service to students and staff.
• Supporting the preparation and delivery of catering and hospitality services for school events, including setup and pack-down.
• Stocking, restocking, and maintaining inventory of supplies and ingredients.
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards.
• Working collaboratively as part of a supportive, positive, and professional team.
• Providing friendly and respectful service to students, staff, and visitors.

What You Bring:

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a caring school community.
• Openness to learn and follow food safety and operational procedures.
• Some food service, retail, or kitchen experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• A willingness to work as part of a busy, event-focused team.
• Reliability, punctuality, and pride in maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
• An understanding of the important role food plays in student wellbeing and engagement.
